i’ve been bumping into this word almost daily for a few months now. i started hearing it long ago in a kripalu yoga class, but lately i hear it everywhere. not giving much stock to coincidence anymore, but thinking more about synchronicity, i guess i better pay closer attention to intention. i admit i haven’t been dealing with things in a mindful way, but rather have just been reacting. maybe the universe is annoyed with me and has decided to start nagging?
From Webster’s Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary:
Intention
1. A determination to act in a certain way; resolve
2. Purpose with respect to marriage
3. an intended object or aim; the object for which a prayer, mass, or pious act is offered
4. Import; significance
5. Concept; a concept considered as the product of attention directed to an object of knowledge
6. A process or manner of healing of incised wounds
Maybe something in there will strike a chord.
Of course, those definitions don’t take into consideration the new-age sort of spiritual connotation of the word intention…
An synchronicity is a whole ‘nother kettle of fish.
i think that maybe it’s time to stop letting the world have it’s way with you, and start doing what you need to be doing.
