This is the tree I told you about earlier…the one I call the “tree house.”
What I figure is that this tree was hit by lightning or became diseased many years ago and the owner of the property (quite wealthy from the looks of it) decided to brick up the hole instead of taking the tree down. I’ve heard of pouring concrete in old trees to keep them from falling, but I’ve never seen such a wonderful brick job as this one! The tree survived and lives on the corner of Waterloo Rd. and Berkeley Rd. in Berwyn.
What on earth????

Yeah, it’s nice. But I bet the squirrels that live there are carrying a hefty mortgage.
