what NOT to do when you have the plague

This past week I’ve been suffering from a nasty head cold, so when Saturday rolled around I backed out of the planned trip to the Renaissance Faire. Then as everyone was preparing to head out, I impetuously changed my mind and backed right back in.

It was the wrong thing to do. I should have been a grown-up about the whole thing and stayed home. Let’s just say that the resulting fever and misery was my own damned fault and leave it at that.

but…

I did get some nice photos of the raptors at the falconry show.

    Poor Love…
AM so sorry that you are less than 100%.
BUT…the PHOTOS!!!! What lovely creatures they are…I have a dear friend, Raptorrunner, who is very involved with raptor rescue…she actually brooded owls in her bra at one point. Me, I raised baby squirrels there. Not quite the same, but still…

thank you, i am doing much better. amazing how a common head cold can destroy your will to live (heh). but it’s on it’s way out.
wow! brooding owls and squirrels in bras! almost makes me wish i owned a bra.
i’ve been wanting for close to forever to get into wildlife rehab–esp. raptors/vultures. i know of only one place around these parts that might take volunteers and i’m hoping the back will be good enough by next spring to consider contacting them.
