Started out as a mindless doodle and ended up to be a “flower creature.” I’m hoping Brni will write a story about this peaceful, amphibious creature whose diet is primarily flowers and succulent leaves, but during the last days of summer, turns savagely carnivorous. Thank the gods they hibernate during the coldest months of winter!

Damn you people and your talent! *shakes fist*
I love it. I’m especially intrigued by the little fella on the branch.

yes, I had to scroll down to see the creature you meant. Those eyes.
Will you do another showing the creature’s carnivorous aspect?

Amazing! The way my window was sized, I only saw the little green guy. Thinking I had seen the creature, I started to scroll down and the eyes of the big one came onto the screen. They are so real and penetrating, I almost fell off my chair in surprise. Wow! The hands are astonishingly lifelike as well. I can’t get over how alive the eyes look. Love the facial expression too; like it has a secret that it’s going to share pretty soon. Shiver.

thanks…so…you don’t think i’m wasting my time? i asked brni last night if he thought what i’ve been doing is silly, but he likes it. still, that damn self-doubt keeps rolling in.

You’re certainly not wasting your time! Your work is beautiful and expressive. IMO your migraine piece is also marketable. I can see it in a magazine as artwork to enhance migraine related story. Keep creating!

I really like the art work here on your blog. Are you an illustrator?

Thank you!
hmmm…I don’t know if I’m an “illustrator” although I have done a little, but it was always associated with other jobs. You know, “Oh, you can draw? Here, do our brochure and while you’re at it fix the website and how about a poster for the next library event?”
