This year, I’m concentrating on studies of hares–jackrabbits actually. Here are 3 clay studies I’m working on at the moment—all in various stages of undoneness.
these are small-appx 6″ tall (or long) and 2.5″ wide at the hips, so I’m working with solid clay and then hollowing out from the bottom.
i’m planning on making one or two larger ones and figure i’ll use newspaper/masking tape as the core the way they do in clay portraiture.
the art center won’t fire with the paper inside, so i guess i’ll need to dig it out later or burn it out at home.

gods, but I love to see your work. 🙂 I expect to touch your hares and be rebuffed by them for overfamiliarity.

As always beautiful work! Are you working with an armature/frame or are these solid clay?
