So I had to finally, now that my computer is newish and my eyes can see again (yay for cataract surgery), fix my long ignored art/blog site.

You see, the new theme was supposed to automagically apply itself to the entire blog but it didn’t. It only converted the most recent posts, and not exactly perfectly. If I want all the posts to conform to this new look, I have to go into each one individually, convert it to blocks and then fix all the images to be the right size and placement. All the way back to 2004. It also seems to lack some very basic abilities, like selecting a section of type and being able to change that small selection to a different color or whatever.

This all has something to do with the “block” editor not understanding that things don’t all have to be the same within a block. Things can be different to convey different moods, ideas, styles, etc. Sorta like people but apparently block editors are kinda like authoritarian dictators.

I’ll figure it out and find a way to subvert this block boss. In the meantime, watch my sweet Tulip watching you.
