and luckily, i had my camera with me.
on the way to the CSA farm in Kimberton, i saw an amazing gathering of waterfowl.
and then my favorite bird came by to see what the ruckus was all about
and when i got to the farm, the chickens were all hiding under the old rusted cart in the chicken yard.
it was a good day.
This fall we decommissioned a large wooden planter where we grew our vegies. When we emptied the planter and turned it over, we found an abundance of new and disturbing life forms living there. If anyone knows what type of fungus this might be, I’d love to know.

so, i was playing with a hopelessly blurry photo and came up with this…
things have been breaking all around me. been nervous and worried and wishing for respite. just a little time or place to retreat and daydream.

so, we found the leak. it’s the water heater. called the plumber and now have to wait for however long it takes for them to work us in.
then i noticed the toilet seat is unhinged, so now i have to wait for brni to wake up and hopefully he will go get a new (cheap) one from kmart or some such discounty place.
oh, and the water heater lost its flame and now all the doors and windows are open due to the gas smell.
this is not a good sign. i wonder what else i’ll find if i start looking….bleh.
mercury is still retro, ain’t it?
so i started tossing and turning around 2:30 this morning. loki came to bed around 4 and i finally gave up the thought of getting back to sleep at 4:30 and went and made coffee. as i made my second cup, i walked out on the deck and looked up catching sight of an early morning meteor shower.
i’m kind of glad i woke up to see shooting stars.
i can always take a nap later on.
